Reflecting Health in Spirit, Soul, & Body
As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart.
Prov. 27:19
Helping you R.E.F.L.E.C.T. J.E.S.U.S.
in spirit, soul, & body
Ask yourself...
Is your life reflecting peace and wholeness?
Or do you see something or someone different?
What are your hurts?
What are your dreams and your desires?
Do you have doubts about God and His plan for you?
Perhaps you feel abandoned, rejected, or alone.
Are you tired and lonely, while still knowing God is out there somewhere?
Maybe you're feeling stuck.
Or struggling with a health journey.
Maybe your situation sounds nothing like this...
Whatever your story, I would be incredibly honored to sit with you, listen to your heart, and see where God takes you in your journey.
We'll do it together.
May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!

Christian Life Coach
I am a Jesus follower, retired (almost) nurse practitioner, and I am a wife, mom, grandma, a licensed minister, and life long learner.
Healing, wholeness, peace, and belonging are things I have had to learn along the way. I have walked through heartache and transition. I have had to overcome trying to please everyone, while only ending up loathing myself and my own shortcomings. I know what it is to experience burnout and imposter syndrome. But... I have learned that God meets us in our greatest need and in our deepest longings. My greatest successes have come in the times I have been honored to sit with people, listen, and weep or rejoice with them.
About
Bonnie
Spiritual & Pastoral Care
Jesus sat with people where they were, without judgment. His only agenda was to bring them to the fullness of life that only He can provide. It is my greatest joy to witness someone find God in the midst of their own story. He wants to speak to the deepest places in our hearts. My goal is to create a sacred space where we can quiet our hearts, share stories, and listen together as God speaks and works...
While I have knowledge and education, including a master's degree in pastoral care and counseling, advanced training in theology, and a doctorate in nursing, I also have many years of ministry and life experience as a widowed pastor's wife, and as a volunteer in almost every ministry in the church. I have experienced great loss and great joy. I don't have all the answers, but I love sitting with people and creating a safe space free from judgment and agenda. I provide healing prayer, pastoral care and counsel with time to sit and listen to the Holy Spirit.

Mirabella
May.12.2023
Several years ago, we were looking for a name for a women's ministry I was part of in northern Minnesota. One of the older ladies came up with the name "Mirabella" which means 'beautiful reflection'. The name stuck and we even had t-shirts made. Even after over 20 years, the name has stuck with me and those ladies. The Mirabellas still meet for fellowship and fun activities. The accompanying scripture is found in Proverbs 27:19, "As a face is reflected in water, so one's life reflects the heart." (NIV). The idea was we wanted to be a beautiful reflection of God's love to others.
That small town in northern Minnesota is blessed with many beautifully clear lakes, and one of my favorite activities was kayaking with several of the Mirabella ladies. The group of kayakers became known as the "Yakers" almost like a division of the Mirabellas. As we paddled the lakes and rivers, I would marvel at the clear, cool waters, and the ripples that formed as my kayak glided across the water. Most of the time the water was so clear I could see all the way to the bottom if we weren't out where it was too deep. And yes, it was very easy to see my reflection on the surface of the crystal clear water.
A favorite activity was the occasional full-moon paddle. We'd watch the calendar for the full moon and pray for clear weather. A bonus was when the full moon fell on a weekend. We'd strap flashlights on our kayaks in the front and back and sometimes to our caps on our heads. There was nothing quite as breathtaking as the moon's reflection on the water on a warm, calm, clear, summer or fall night. Except for the occasional bird chirping or fish jumping, (or joyous laughter from one of the ladies), it was so quiet! Up North, we didn't have the noises of the big city, and the quiet and serenity of the lake provided the perfect setting to contemplate the goodness of God and the awesome beauty of His creation.
I don't live Up North anymore, and I miss my friends and our Mirabella-Yaker adventures - especially our full-moon paddles. I often think of the Mirabella ladies and I continue to think about how my own reflection has changed. I'm older, but wiser...I've suffered, but found healing...I've sinned, but found grace. I want to be a Mirabella - a beautiful reflection of the God who saves, heals, and delivers and brings peace beyond our understanding.
Blessings & Peace,
Bonnie
Nuture your Body as a Form of Worship
6/20/23
Can weight loss and taking care of our bodies be a form of worship? In the past several years, my weight has been up and down, that whole yoyo thing that I said I would never do! I blamed having that 6th child. Yeah, that was almost 22 years ago. Then I blamed menopause. Or I would join some program to lose weight only to gain it back, returning to old habits. If having a healthy body at a healthy weight is so important, why is it so hard?
Recently I joined a Christian group for weight loss, and something finally clicked. My focus was on my weight, not on Jesus. Sometimes my weight loss was healthy, and sometimes not. But my motivation and focus had been on how my body looked, not on how having a healthy body might glorify God.
I am learning to look at it this way: Our bodies are sacred vessels, gifted to us for our journey on this earth. The Bible tells us, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). This scripture underscores the importance of treating our bodies with respect and care. It suggests that maintaining physical health is not only a self-care practice but a form of worship.
Modern science echoes this, emphasizing the interplay between physical health and overall wellness. The American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine highlights that regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and adequate rest significantly impact overall health, including mental and emotional well-being.(1)
As a health & wellness coach, I encourage a holistic approach to fitness. Rather than viewing exercise and nutrition as chores, see them as acts of gratitude for your body – a way to honor God’s gift. Nurture your body with nutritious food, keep it active, rest well, and listen to its needs. The blessings of seekng Him first will manifest in a healthy body that looks and feels good!
Remember, caring for your body is a spiritual practice, a form of worship that honors the
Creator. Fitting into that pair of jeans or looking good in a dress is all fine and good, but recognizing that submitting our bodies to God’s care puts a whole different perspective on our motivations for becoming and staying healthy. The pressure is off. I am focusing on Him and allowing His perfect work to be completed in me.
If you need help or encouragement with any of this, contact me. I'd love to help!
